Ecological campsite between city and countryside

In 2025 the camping is open from 29 May untill 1 September. See you then!

A small-scale camping field is hidden on the edge of Sneek, on the Ivige Leane (the Eeuwige Laan), located behind the city farm. Sustainable travelers, young families and adventurers of all ages feel at home here. Without fuss, unnecessary luxury or WiFi ;) Just a place to come to yourself, look around you at everything that lives and celebrate life. Johannes and Herma are happy to welcome you and tell you everything about this place, our plans and what there is to do in the area. Explore our young food forest, connect with the horses and pick your own fresh herbal tea. Our chickens provide fresh eggs and the bakery is a 5-minute bike ride away. The city of Sneek with its cozy city center, terraces, restaurants and shops is a few minutes by bike and many of the 11 cities are also easily accessible by bicycle or public transport. So pack those suitcases, bicycle bags or backpack and off to De Sibbe!

Are you traveling with a caravan or camper higher than 2.4 m? Then take the route via Ysbrechtum (from Bolsward/Afsluitdijk) or Scharnegoutum (from Leeuwarden/Joure).

Eco camping: what does that mean?

As an eco campsite, we think it is important to leave as small a footprint as possible, both by us and our guests. We have 800 solar panels that provide us and the camping pitches with electricity and the shower water is heated with economical heat pumps. We only use ecological cleaning products and ask this of our guests: we are not connected to the sewer and collect the shower water in wells. For the same reason we cannot store a chemical toilet: use an organic alternative.

Our seeds and planting material in the vegetable garden and food forest come from sustainable, ecological and, where possible, local nurseries. Our chickens are also fed organically and our meadows are naturally maintained, with a late mowing date (after June 21) to give birds, hares and deer time to raise their young. Manure from the animals is returned to the land and the horses stand on organic, local straw. Where possible, we always choose organic, local and vegetarian in all our choices regarding food and agriculture.

We do not offer WiFi at the campsite.
